NVPH internet guarantee

The Internet has opened up a tremendous amount of opportunities for collectors to purchase stamps and associated items over the Internet. The downside, however, is that you cannot or hardly assess the quality of the offer and/or the reliability of the supplier yourself via the internet. The NVPH internet guarantee has therefore been created as a quality mark for professional stamp dealers affiliated with the NVPH who sell products and/or services to private individuals via the internet or other remote electronic channels. Regardless of whether they do this via their own site or via, for example, eBay, Marktplaats or Catawiki. All affiliated members can be recognized by the NVPH Internet Waarborg logo on their site. As a consumer, you can rest assured that these companies subscribe to the NVPH Internet Guarantee Special Terms and Conditions, as well as the NVPH Certificate Regulations, comply with the resulting rules of conduct and are accountable for compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.

If the latest or otherwise agreed delivery term is exceeded for any reason, the seller will inform the buyer of this. The buyer then has the option to terminate the purchase agreement without costs.

If you buy something this means for you:

• Clarity about the identity of the seller: Mention of name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and Chamber of Commerce registration number on the website
• Clear statement of the (delivery) conditions
• Clarity about the offer - what is offered is described clearly and unambiguously and, where possible, clarified with image(s) - The price is stated clearly and unambiguously, and additional costs such as shipping costs are also clarified. For temporary offers, the end date is clearly stated. - The payment methods are clearly indicated.

The delivery

The seller undertakes to deliver within a reasonable period, but no longer than 14 days after the order, unless expressly agreed otherwise with the buyer (You).
The seller will properly package the sold items for shipment.

Normally the seller chooses the shipping method and also bears the risk of shipping. If you as a buyer expressly choose a different shipping method, the risk passes to you, the buyer.
If advance payment has been agreed, the delivery period starts on the day of receipt of payment by the seller.

Right of return

After receiving the goods, the buyer has the right of return for 8 days. This is also legally established. This means that you, as a buyer, can return the purchased item(s) to the seller within 8 days without giving any reason. Buyer bears the costs of return. The seller undertakes to refund the purchase price to the buyer within 14 days of receipt of the returned item. NB: for lots, lots and similar items, the seller may apply different sales conditions and explicitly exclude the right of return. However, this must be clearly indicated on the site!

Disputes

The companies acting under the NVPH Internet Guarantee will do everything reasonably possible to resolve complaints properly. If this does not go as desired, the NVPH Internet Guarantee scheme provides the option to submit the dispute to the NVPH Disputes Committee. You can download a complaint form specifically for this purpose from the NVPH website.

The NVPH Disputes Committee will process a received complaint within 14 days of receipt. The decision of the NVPH Disputes Committee is binding. This means that the affiliated company must adhere to the decision of the Disputes Committee, unless the company or buyer has submitted the decision to the court within two months.
With regard to the decision of the Disputes Committee, the NVPH offers a “Compliance Guarantee”. This means that the NVPH guarantees that the committee's decision, except when submitted to the civil court, will be complied with by or on behalf of its member.
If a company does not do this, the buyer can contact the NVPH in writing.
Please note! This Compliance Guarantee is not a guarantee fund for the financial insolvency of the company concerned in the event of suspension of payments or bankruptcy of that company.
